The Helping Hand initiative draws on the innovation capacity and skills of the network of 60 technology access centers in Canada, including more than 2,000 business innovation experts and nearly 4 million square feet of space. dedicated to applied research.
Give us five minutes of your time to make the request, and we’ll put you in touch with the CAT who can help you.
The CATs of Canada are specialized centers for applied research and development affiliated with public colleges and CEGEPs. These demand-driven centers, located across Canada, help innovative Canadian small businesses become more innovative and productive by:
- conduct applied research and development projects focused on business issues;
- offer specialized technical services and objective advice; and
- provide training on new types of technologies, equipment and processes.
In each of the 60 CATs, there is one person responsible for responding quickly to your innovation request if their CAT is equipped to assist you.
All you need to do is fill out the relevant inquiry form, giving as many details as you want. TACs will review it and Tech-Access Canada will quickly provide you with a list of TACs who have volunteered to help you, along with their points of contact.
Larousse:
Helping hand, mr. expression
Definitions
: Any action aimed at influencing the development of things in the desired direction.
The origin of this French expression dates back to the end of the 19th century when it is found in the form « Donner le coup de Pouce ». The form has evolved over time and so has its meaning.
But the expression « helping hand » actually designates the act of intervening to help someone, to help someone.
At Tech-Accès Canada, we wanted to encourage this spirit with initiative and give a boost to innovators and entrepreneurs across Canada.
