Job description: InnovaCité-BIOlab is seeking a dedicated and talented Researcher with solid experience in microbiology (including aerobic/anaerobic organisms), precision fermentation (including yeast/bacteria), biochemistry (including proteins and DNA), and chemical analysis (including HPLC/GC-MS). The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team, in a French-speaking environment, focused on innovative applied research projects in the field of bio-innovation.

Principle functions:

· Exercises scientific leadership by staying abreast of industry needs

· Writes grant applications for InnovaCité-BIOlab, and applied research projects with private companies

· Directs research projects in collaboration with industrial partners

· Collaborate with other staff members in the design and execution of experiments and data analysis.

· Prepare reports and presentations on research results.

· Contribute to the development and implementation of new research methodologies.

Prerequisites:

· At least a PhD in a related field (e.g., biochemistry, biotechnology).

· Work experience in directing research project in the biological sciences is essential.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills.

· Bilingual (English – French)

· Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Assets:

· Solid experience in microbiology (including aerobic/anaerobic organisms), precision fermentation (including yeast/bacteria), biochemistry (including proteins and DNA), and chemical analyses (including HPLC/GC-MS).

· Experience in cellular agriculture.
